Actor Im Si-wan donated 30 million KRW to children affected by the Myanmar earthquake. Provided by UNICEF Korea Committee
The UNICEF Korea Committee (Chairman Jung Gap-young) announced on the 31st that actor Im Si-wan has joined the emergency relief campaign for children affected by the Myanmar earthquake and donated 30 million won. The entire fund will be used for emergency relief projects such as nutrition, water sanitation, education, and protection for children affected by the Myanmar earthquake.
Since the 2019 Gangwon wildfire, Im Si-wan has been making donations every year whenever disasters occur, exerting a positive influence. In addition, he has consistently participated in projects for disaster-vulnerable groups, such as ongoing care for disaster-affected households and heating cost support for elderly living alone, continuing his good deeds.
Im Si-wan said, "At this very moment, I send a small message of comfort to the children who have lost their homes and are suffering," and added, "I hope everyone stays safe without further damage."
The UNICEF Korea Committee launched the emergency relief campaign "Helping Children Affected by the Myanmar Earthquake" on the 29th, immediately after the earthquake occurred, and on the 31st, it provided an emergency fund of 300 million won to carry out rapid support. Donations can be made through the UNICEF Korea Committee website, Naver Happy Bean, and Kakao Together Value.
