Gwangju Transportation Corporation (President Cho Ikmun) is drawing attention by carrying out social contribution activities to thoroughly improve the deteriorated living conditions of vulnerable households in celebration of spring.
Recently, about 10 employees from the corporation's Technical Operations Department, together with Gwangju City Council member Park Pilsun, officials from the Cheomdan 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center, and about 20 members of the local welfare council, visited a hoarding household in Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju. They cleaned up the piled-up household waste and organized every corner of the house, working to create a pleasant living environment.
Employees from the Vehicle Operations Department also visited a visually impaired household in Dong-gu, Gwangju, where they replaced the kitchen sink and storage cabinets and redecorated the house with new wallpaper. In particular, they received a great response by safely repairing old electrical wiring and outlets, and newly installing flooring and various household items to create a safe and sanitary environment.
Cho Ikmun, President of the corporation, said, "We are proud to bring joy to local residents by utilizing the corporation's technical skills and talents," and added, "We will continue to steadily carry out a variety of social contribution activities for the citizens in the future."
