On the 28th, GS Group announced on the 30th that it held the 'GS 20th Anniversary and GS Art Center Opening Ceremony' at the GS Art Center in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by GS Chairman Huh Tae-soo and representatives of major partner companies from affiliates such as GS Caltex, GS Energy, GS Retail, and GS Construction. Business figures including Ryu Jin, Chairman of the Korea Economic Association, as well as guests such as LG Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, LS Chairman Koo Ja-eun, and LIG Chairman Koo Bon-sang also participated.

Chairman Huh said, "GS has continuously pursued growth despite the rapidly changing business environment. We have nurtured a world-class petroleum export company in a country without a single drop of oil, established a distribution network that enhances daily convenience, and carried out projects in the construction sector that improve quality of life."

He added, "As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we will revive the proud founding spirit of 'Change and Challenge' and continue to move toward even greater growth."

GS Group separated from LG in 2005 and declared the 'GS' brand. Since then, it started with petroleum refining, distribution, and construction businesses and expanded into energy generation, general trading, hotels, and venture investment. The asset size, which was 18.7 trillion won at the time of launch, has increased more than fourfold to 80.8 trillion won. Sales also grew more than threefold from 23 trillion won to 84.3 trillion won.

A GS Group official said, "We are preparing for a new leap forward through future strategies centered on digital and eco-friendliness," adding, "Based on the founding spirit of 'Change and Challenge,' we will promote sustainable growth together with customers, society, and partners."
