Successful Completion with High Interest from Related Companies
Yangsan City in Gyeongnam, Gyeongnam Province, and Gyeongnam Technopark held an information session for the 'Earthquake Safety Industry Technology Support Project' on the 28th at Seminar Room 1 of the Yangsan Business Center.
More than 40 representatives from earthquake safety industry-related companies, as well as those hoping to switch or add new business sectors in the Gyeongnam region, attended the session. The event proceeded in the following order: ▲Introduction to the Earthquake Safety Industry Promotion Facility Construction Project (Pusan National University Earthquake Disaster Prevention Research Center) ▲Introduction to the Earthquake Safety Industry Technology Support Project ▲Introduction to the Earthquake Safety Industry Technology Commercialization Support Project ▲Guidance on how to apply for support projects ▲Q&A session.
This project is a support initiative linked to the construction of earthquake safety industry promotion facilities, selected by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 2024. The application period for the 'Earthquake Safety Industry Technology Support' is from March 5 to 31, and includes non-R&D fields such as 1:1 customized technology doctor support and seismic engineering support projects. The 'Earthquake Safety Industry Technology Commercialization Support' is an R&D project that supports earthquake safety technology development and commercialization, with the project announcement scheduled for early April. Funding of 200 to 400 million KRW will be provided to about six companies.

A Yangsan City official stated, "This information session helped companies in the earthquake safety industry better understand related policies and encouraged their participation in the project. We confirmed strong interest in the project through various questions from attendees, and we will actively work to revitalize the local economy by fostering the related industry."
