According to this agreement, the city will identify service recipients, and KEPCO will collect and link power and communication data to perform real-time monitoring.
Additionally, by utilizing AI-based analysis technology, if any abnormal signs are detected, an alarm will be sent to the responsible officers in eup, myeon, and dong districts to enable prompt response.
In particular, this service can check on the welfare of recipients by detecting changes in living patterns while protecting their privacy, using existing power and communication data without the need to install separate sensors or devices.
Mayor Ju Gwang-deok stated, “This service will greatly contribute to making Namyangju a warm welfare city without blind spots in welfare,” and added, “As our proverb says, a neighbor is better than a distant relative, I hope Korea Electric Power Corporation will be a warm and safe neighbor providing positive influence.”
