The meeting, chaired by Kim Jin-hee, Director of the Economic and Fiscal Bureau, was attended by a total of eight people, including heads of job coordination and job promotion departments and officials from the Guri Youth Tomorrow Center. They reported on the performance of job projects in 2024, discussed detailed plans for the 2025 local job target disclosure system, and the job policy implementation plan for the first half of 2025.

In particular, amid the recent economic slowdown and ongoing employment instability, the meeting focused on preparing job policy measures to proactively respond to changes in the employment market. They explored measures such as support plans for the Guri City Job Center within the Galmae Knowledge Industry Center, prioritizing the hiring of Guri citizens as fixed-term workers in public institutions of Guri City, expanding senior citizen job opportunities, and actively discovering various job creation and startup-related public projects.

Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun of Guri City stated, “Since job issues are directly connected to citizens' lives, we will promote job policies that citizens can feel through continuous policy review and improvement.”

Meanwhile, the city plans to continue efforts to create sustainable jobs by communicating with citizens through various channels and cooperating with companies and related organizations for the efficient implementation of the comprehensive job plan for the 8th term of the elected government.
