Pocheon City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Young-hyun) announced on the 28th that it held the entrance ceremony for the 21st class of the Pocheon Environmental Agriculture College and the 8th class of the graduate school on the 27th.

The entrance ceremony proceeded in the order of the declaration of admission approval, the oath of new students, the awarding of appointment letters, welcome and congratulatory speeches, and preliminary education (orientation).
Following this, new students were given the opportunity to directly experience various agricultural facilities and support policies on-site through a tour of the Scientific Farming Facilities and Agricultural Machinery Rental Center at the Pocheon Agricultural Technology Center.
The Pocheon Environmental Agriculture College operates three programs: △ Rural Convergence Industry Department, △ Smart Agriculture Department, and △ Graduate School Agricultural Business Major. Each department provides systematic professional education including basic and specialized training, practical exercises, and field education.
In particular, the graduate program is designed as an advanced course to strengthen agricultural business capabilities such as trademark (brand) development, agricultural management, and marketing.
Mayor Baek Young-hyun of Pocheon said, “Continuous learning and challenges are important to respond to the rapidly changing agricultural environment,” and added, “I hope that the learning at Pocheon Environmental Agriculture College will be a practical help in enhancing the agricultural competitiveness of the new students.”
Meanwhile, since its establishment in 2005, Pocheon Environmental Agriculture College has produced 1,642 graduates and has established itself as a cradle for nurturing local agricultural talents. In particular, it has proven its solid educational achievements by winning the highest award for two consecutive years in 2023 and 2024 in the Gyeonggi Province City and County Agricultural College Operation Evaluation.
