Jeongeup City in North Jeolla Province will reopen the 'Shintaein Park Golf Course' starting from the 1st of next month.
According to the city on the 28th, this reopening was carried out as a measure to ensure the safety of users and to provide a more pleasant environment.

During the closure period, intensive maintenance of the grass and even distribution of sand were conducted within the golf course. Through these efforts, the city improved the overall quality of the course and created the best possible playing environment to satisfy golfers.
The Shintaein Park Golf Course is a 36-hole course boasting the beautiful natural scenery along the Dongjin River. Each hole is independently designed, which is a major advantage for providing a comfortable and pleasant playing experience.
In particular, in September 2023, it became the first in the province to obtain official certification as a 36-hole course, establishing itself as a premium park golf facility. Currently, it is attracting nationwide attention as a popular course visited by about 50,000 enthusiasts annually.
An Yongun, head of Facility Operations, stated, “As many enthusiasts visit from all over the country, we aim to provide citizens with a healthy daily life and outside visitors with a satisfying sports experience through pleasant and safe operations. We will continue to make improvements so that the facilities can be used more conveniently.”
The city expects that this reopening will not only expand sports leisure spaces but also have a positive impact on revitalizing the local economy by attracting external tourists.
