Hana Bank Launches Financial Sector's First Retirement Pension 'Robo-Advisor Discretionary Management Service'

Hana Bank announced on the 28th that it has launched the financial sector's first 'Robo-Advisor Discretionary Management Service' for individual IRPs.

The 'Robo-Advisor Discretionary Management Service,' newly designated as an innovative financial service by the Financial Services Commission in December last year, is a service where a robo-advisor automatically creates customized portfolios based on investor profiles through algorithms and manages the accumulated funds of individual IRPs on a discretionary basis.

Hana Bank, which has proactively promoted the introduction of the 'Robo-Advisor Discretionary Management Service,' began with a business agreement with the investment discretionary company Fount Investment Advisory in February last year, followed by agreements with Mirae Asset Global Investments, AI Quant Tech, and Korea Investment Management for service implementation. Based on this, Hana Bank launched the 'Robo-Advisor Discretionary Management Service' with Fount Investment Advisory and plans to expand the service with Mirae Asset Global Investments in the second quarter of this year.

The 'Robo-Advisor Discretionary Management Service' allows individual IRP subscribers to entrust discretionary management of subscriber contributions up to an annual limit of 9 million KRW, with the option to also entrust user contributions through the robo-advisor upon subscriber consent. This service can be subscribed to via Hana Bank’s representative mobile app, 'Hana One Q.'

A representative from Hana Bank’s Pension Business Unit stated, "We have introduced the 'Robo-Advisor Discretionary Management Service' to enable our customers’ valuable pension assets to be managed more conveniently and stably from a long-term perspective. We will continue to discover innovative financial services to contribute to expanding our customers’ retirement income resources."

Meanwhile, Hana Bank has been providing various services for efficient pension asset management, including the newly launched mobile retirement planning solution 'Hana The Next Pension Planner' in December last year, and the 'Hana The Next Retirement Solution' service, which offers retirement preparation consultations to customers visiting branches.
