On the 27th, singer Lee Seunghwan appeared at a large-scale rally held around Gwanghwamun, Seoul, demanding the Constitutional Court to set a date for the impeachment trial of President Yoon Seok-yeol and call for his removal from office, shouting "Remove him" together with the participants.

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and the Emergency Action for Immediate Resignation of Yoon Seok-yeol and Social Reform (Emergency Action) held consecutive general strike rallies from 4 p.m. at Dongshipjagak in Gwanghwamun, and the Candlelight Action held a rally from 7 p.m. at the nearby Yeollin Songhyeon Green Space.

As of 8:30 p.m., the Candlelight Action rally gathered an unofficial police estimate of 7,000 people. Earlier, participants from the KCTU and Emergency Action rallies, which reached up to 12,000 people, also joined here.

The Candlelight Action claimed that 100,000 people gathered that evening. Participants shouted slogans such as "Remove Yoon Seok-yeol" and "Disband the People Power Party."

At the end of the rally, when singer Lee Seunghwan appeared, participants holding cheering sticks cheered. Lee Seunghwan sang songs including "Sesange Ppuryeojin Sarangmankeum" and "Mureobonda."

It was also mentioned that Lee Seunghwan's constitutional complaint filed with the Constitutional Court, challenging the Gumi City, Gyeongbuk's demand to pledge not to engage in political agitation related to venue rental, was dismissed. He stated, "An absurd decision was made," and added, "I posted on social media urging the Constitutional Court for a swift ruling, and the decision was made within two days. The timing is very peculiar." Lee Seunghwan ended his performance shouting "Remove Yoon Seok-yeol" to the rhythm of the song "Dunk Shoot."

Some supporters of President Yoon at Anguk Station showed agitated reactions, calling the dispersing rally participants "red commies." The police separated both sides, and it is reported that there were no major clashes.

Earlier, voices of participants at the KCTU rally were also directed at the Constitutional Court. Various civic groups, organizations for people with disabilities and sexual minorities, and the Lawyers for a Democratic Society (Minbyun) reportedly participated in the KCTU rally and the Emergency Action "Citizen General Strike" rally. Among union members wearing red headbands, university students wearing college jackets were also seen.

Before the main rally, urban marches were held from Sinchon Station, Seoul Station, Hyehwa Station (Emergency Action), Seoul Station, Myeongdong Station, and Seoul Regional Employment and Labor Office (KCTU) to Gwanghwamun.

With the Gwanghwamun rally, the Sejong-daero area was completely controlled, causing congestion during the evening commute.
