This contest was held in three categories based on Kia's first PBV, the 'PV5': the hardware category, which proposed specialized product ideas to enhance the value of PV5 conversion models; the software category, which proposed app ideas useful when using the vehicle; and the general category, which presented the ideal image of the PV5 applicable to daily life, leisure, and work.

A total of 3,327 diverse ideas were submitted over about two months starting last December. Kia formed a panel of judges consisting of experts in related fields and comprehensively evaluated the entries based on marketability, creativity, and feasibility to select 12 winning teams.

The integrated grand prize for the hardware and software categories was awarded to Hellograce, which proposed the idea of a 'PV5 business utilizing a camping and car stay location brokerage platform,' and Towns, which proposed the idea of 'peer-to-peer lifestyle sharing using the PV5.'

Hellograce received high praise from the judges for the expected synergy between PBV-based camper utilization and EasySwap technology, while Towns was highly evaluated for expanding diverse usage experiences of PBVs.

Kia is reviewing ways to apply the excellent ideas to the 'PV5' and plans to collaborate with the winning teams if necessary.

A Kia official said, "It was meaningful that we could listen not only to general customers but also to businesses that can provide products and solutions using PBVs," adding, "We will create PBVs that reflect the diverse needs of customers."
