Connecting Outstanding Skilled Technicians and Small Business Owners
The Small Enterprise and Market Service announced on the 28th that it has signed a 'Business Agreement to Strengthen Technical Skills of Small Business Owners' with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea.
The signing ceremony was held on the 28th at the Fashion Maker Hub Small Business Co-working Space in Changsin-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, attended by Park Seong-hyo, Chairman of Small Enterprise and Market Service; Lee Woo-young, Chairman of Human Resources Development Service of Korea; Park Dong-hee, President of the Korea Small Business Association; Kim Young-heung, President of the National Urban-type Small Business Federation; Seo Wan-seok, President of the Korea Masters Association; and Jeong Byeong-seok, President of the Korea Skilled Craftsmen Association.
This agreement was prepared to establish a support system to strengthen the technical skills of small business owners by linking with excellent skilled technicians such as Korea Masters who possess highly valuable preservation skills. Going forward, the two organizations plan to collaborate on ▲ establishing support systems such as video and booklet documentation plans for preserving the skills of Korea Masters and developing domestic and international sales channels ▲ operating mentorship programs that connect Korea Masters and other excellent skilled technicians with young small business owners engaged in manufacturing to pass on technical expertise ▲ cooperating on skill competitions for small business owners, awarding 'Outstanding Small Business Owner' titles, producing videos, and holding exhibitions to foster technical skills of small business owners.
Starting with this agreement with the Human Resources Development Service of Korea, the Small Enterprise and Market Service will explore ways to preserve the skills of masters and revitalize sales channels operated by local governments as well as the 'Korea Masters' program.
Park Seong-hyo, Chairman of the Small Enterprise and Market Service, stated, "Small business owners, who make up the majority of manufacturing businesses in our country and have supported the production base, require collaborative support policies with the Masters system. Taking this agreement as an opportunity, we will strive to establish various collaboration plans, including selecting small business owners among Korea Masters, skilled technicians, and skill transmitters to build a support system."
