Seongnam City, 9 Famous Cherry Blossom Spots... "Enjoy Spring Throughout the City"

Seongnam City in Gyeonggi Province has introduced 9 scenic spots within the region that are perfect for viewing cherry blossoms in spring. These local attractions are collectively known as the ‘Seongnam Cherry Blossom 9 Views.’

The 1st view is a 2 km section along Bundangcheon Stream in Jungang Park, Sunae-dong, Bundang-gu. It is an ideal spring outing course for families, couples, and friends to enjoy a walk. The 2nd view is a 1.5 km green area along Tancheon Stream in front of Bundang-gu Public Health Center, Yatap-dong. It is a great course to enjoy the cherry blossom spectacle while exercising.

The 3rd view is a 1 km section from Sanseong Station in Dandae-dong, Sujeong-gu, up to Namhansanseong Fortress. Many hikers rest in the cherry blossom clusters here. The 4th view is a 0.5 km green area in front of Jungwon Elementary School in Sangdaewon-dong, Jungwon-gu. The sight of fluttering cherry blossoms makes it a beautiful walking space.

The 5th view is a 1 km green area within the public space along Tancheon Stream in front of Jesaeng Hospital, Seohyeon-dong, Bundang-gu. There is a picnic area with a panoramic view of Tancheon. The 6th view is a 2 km green area along Tancheon Stream in Gumi-dong, Bundang-gu. Visitors can enjoy leisure in daily life on the walking path where cherry blossoms bloom profusely.

The 7th view is a 1 km embankment path around the Tancheon water playground in Taepyeong-dong, Sujeong-gu. The cherry blossoms are so abundant they form a natural photo zone, resembling white snow flowers. The 8th view is a 0.5 km entrance path to Sujin Park in Sujin-dong, Sujeong-gu. Visitors can enjoy a bright spring surrounded by cherry blossoms harmonizing with the environment.

The 9th view is a 0.3 km section along Unjungcheon Stream in Sampyeong-dong, Bundang-gu. The cherry blossoms form a tunnel shape, creating a fantastic landscape.

A Seongnam City official stated, “The cherry blossom blooming period in the region is expected from April 1 to April 7,” adding, “People will be able to fully enjoy spring throughout the city.”
