Nowon District Mayor Oh Seung-rok Attends 'Bulamsan Art Foret' Gallery Opening Ceremony

On the afternoon of the 27th, Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, attended the opening ceremony of the newly established ‘Bulamsan Art Foret’ gallery within Bulamsan Healing Town and celebrated the opening with local residents.

The ‘Bulamsan Art Foret’ gallery is an exhibition-type gallery space created by remodeling the existing frog exhibition room inside the Bulamsan Ecological Learning Center. The district reopened the exhibition hall to expand Bulamsan Healing Town, the district’s representative leisure space, into a complex cultural space where nature and art harmonize.

The opening ceremony was attended by about 200 people, including Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, city and district council members, and local residents. The event proceeded in the following order: a congratulatory performance by violinist Kim Bitnal Yunmi, introduction of guests, progress report, greetings and congratulatory speeches, opening ceremony, and exhibition viewing.

To commemorate the opening, ‘Pressed Flower’ special exhibition will be held at Bulamsan Art Foret from March 27 to May 17. This exhibition showcases about 20 award-winning works from the ‘Korea Pressed Flower Grand Exhibition,’ part of the collection of the Korea Pressed Flower Museum in Gurye-gun, Jeollanam-do, presenting a delicate artistic world imbued with nature.

Oh Seung-rok, Mayor of Nowon-gu, said, “I hope that every corner of the neighborhood becomes a cultural and artistic space, which is why we created the Bulamsan Art Foret gallery. I hope residents can easily enjoy exhibitions in their daily lives and feel culture and art closer to them.”
