Sign Investment Agreements with Iksan City
to Foster the Hologram Industry
On the 27th, Iksan City in North Jeolla Province announced that it had signed investment agreements with three hologram companies?Qumis Co., Ltd., The Garam Co., Ltd., and Toast Animation Studio?at the city hall's small conference room.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mayor Jung Heon-yul of Iksan, company representatives, and Kim Jaehoon, head of the Holotech Hub Center.

Through this agreement, Iksan City plans to foster future industries based on hologram technology and accelerate the creation of a technology hub in the region.
Qumis Co., Ltd. is a company with technology for developing floating holograms and multi-view image acquisition systems. It develops content utilizing extended reality (XR), virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and mixed reality (MR) technologies, and is a strong technology company holding 24 domestic and international patents.
The Garam Co., Ltd. is a company specializing in hologram content production using mesh screens. It has filed a patent for educational virtual reality technology for use in vehicles and has received the Minister of Science and ICT Award.
Toast Animation Studio produces 2D and 3D animations and projection mapping content. Based on its extensive experience in developing various application software, the company is expected to expand into the hologram field.
The city is actively promoting various projects to foster holograms as a future strategic industry, including ▲support for hologram technology demonstration ▲support for commercialization of experiential hologram technology ▲support for the expansion of the hologram industry ▲demonstration projects for the commercialization of hologram-based cultural heritage restoration and visualization services.
In addition, by making every effort to attract related companies, the city has signed investment agreements with 35 companies since 2020, and 21 of them have relocated to Iksan.
Mayor Jung Heon-yul stated, "We will spare no effort to support the development of Iksan as a hub city for the hologram industry," and added, "We will work closely together so that the companies involved in the agreement can settle and grow stably in the region."
