Approved at the Regular Shareholders' Meeting
and Board of Directors on the 26th
On the 27th, Hankook & Company announced that at the regular shareholders' meeting held on the afternoon of the 26th at its headquarters in Pangyo, Gyeonggi Province, Park Jong-ho was appointed as the new CEO.
CEO Park joined Hankook Tire in 2011 as Executive Director of the Planning and Finance Division, overseeing strategic planning, business innovation, financial accounting, taxation, legal affairs, and M&A. Hankook & Company stated that the reason for his appointment is his contribution to strengthening the company's financial stability and competitiveness during his six-year tenure from 2019 to 2024 as General Manager of Hankook Tire's Management Support Division.
He also led the establishment and expansion of global infrastructure, including the Tennessee plant in the United States, and is a business innovation and finance expert with an understanding of the electronics and automotive industries, having served as Head of the Business Planning Division at Hanon Systems for three years starting in 2015.
As the CEO of the holding company, CEO Park will assist Chairman Cho Hyun-bum in composing future business portfolios and supporting business innovation.
He will also work to expand the recognition and premium status of the global integrated brand "Hankook" in markets worldwide, supporting the global business growth of Hankook & Company Group affiliates.
A company official said, "Based on CEO Park’s accurate understanding of the mobility business and financial situation, we expect him to establish strategies that can accelerate technological innovation and lead the company’s future growth."
Meanwhile, at the 71st regular shareholders' meeting held on the afternoon of the 26th, all four agenda items?including approval of financial statements and consolidated financial statements, appointment of directors, appointment of audit committee members, and approval of director remuneration limits?were passed as originally proposed.
