Buan County and Beach Association Decide on Opening Period and More

Five Beaches Including Byeonsan to Open from July 4 to August 17

Five beaches in the Buan area?Byeonsan, Gyeokpo, Gosapo, Mohang, and Wido?will open for 45 days from July 4 to August 17.


Buan County announced on the 27th that it recently held a Beach Council meeting in the county office's main conference room, where it reviewed and finalized key operational and management matters for the beaches, including the opening period and safety management.

The council was presided over by Buan County Governor Kwon Ikhyeon and attended by related organizations and groups such as Buan Police Station, Buan Maritime Police Station, Buan Fire Station, Gunsan Regional Office of Oceans and Fisheries, Jeonju Meteorological Office, Buan Office of Education, Byeonsanbando National Park Office, Korea Maritime Rescue Association Buan Rescue Team, and Buan Marine Corps Veterans Association.


During the meeting, it was decided to set the beach opening period from July 4 to August 17, with operating hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Considering the continued demand from visitors after the official closing, safety management and the opening of various convenience facilities will be maintained until August 31.


In particular, Byeonsan Beach will be open at night until 8 p.m. for 16 days during the peak tourist season, from July 19 to August 3.


In addition, to ensure pleasant and safe beach operations, related organizations and groups agreed to closely cooperate in areas such as public safety, emergency response, hygiene management, environmental maintenance, and medical support.


Governor Kwon Ikhyeon said, "With the expected increase in demand for marine tourism, we will do our best to create a premium beach environment so that the rise in beach visitors leads to revitalization of the local economy and increased income for local residents. We will strive to provide unforgettable memories and inspiration for visitors, as well as achieve zero accidents."
