The Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea announced on the 27th that Seaworld Express Ferry Co., Ltd., the undisputed No. 1 domestic coastal passenger ferry company, has joined the Nanum Honor Company program.
The membership ceremony held on this day was attended by Kim Donggeuk, Secretary General of Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, Lee Hyukyoung, Chairman of Seaworld Express Ferry, CEO Lee Jonghun, and other company staff members.
The Nanum Honor Company program is a representative high-value donation program that allows companies to fulfill their social responsibilities by donating more than 100 million KRW or pledging to donate within three years.
Since 2004, Seaworld Express Ferry has been engaged in social contribution activities through donations to the Community Chest of Korea in Jeonnam, Jeju, and Gyeongbuk branches. To date, the company has donated a total of approximately 271.8 million KRW in both cash and goods.
The donated funds are fully allocated to projects aimed at supporting neighbors in need and addressing welfare blind spots in the social welfare field. Through this membership, the company has promised to continue its participation in donations in the future.
Kim Donggeuk, Secretary General of Jeonnam Community Chest of Korea, said, "The steady practice of sharing by Seaworld Express Ferry is a great support to the local community," and added, "We will continue to work harder to spread the culture of sharing."
