For Young Entrepreneurs Within 3 Years of Residency
Funds Available for Prototype Production, Marketing, and More
Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province is making a generous effort to promote entrepreneurship among local youth.
On the 27th, Pyeongtaek City announced that it will provide up to 10 million KRW in commercialization funds through the "2025 Pyeongtaek Youth Outstanding Early Startup Support Project."
This project, aimed at revitalizing the stagnant local economy and creating jobs for young people, targets young entrepreneurs who reside in Pyeongtaek or have started a business based in the area. Eligible applicants are entrepreneurs aged 19 to 39 who have registered their residence and business in the city as of the announcement date (the 21st) and have been in business for less than three years.
The city plans to select five outstanding early-stage startups through a screening process and provide each company with up to 10 million KRW in commercialization support funds. The funds can be used for various business operations such as prototype production, marketing, and securing intellectual property rights. However, the city added that the final number of selected applicants and the amount of support may be adjusted depending on the screening results.
The application period is from the 24th to the 18th of next month. For more details, visit the Pyeongtaek City Hall website or contact the Youth Policy Division.
A city official said, "We decided to provide startup funds to give practical help to local youth preparing for entrepreneurship and to contribute to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "We look forward to the active participation of young people with creative ideas."
