Gwangju National University Launches Student Self-Governance Union Under the Slogan 'Together, Our Beginning'

Gwangju University (President Kim Dongjin) announced on the 27th that it held the inauguration ceremony for the 41st Gwangju University Student Council and the 2025 Student Autonomous Organizations under the theme "The Moment We Are Together, Our Beginning."

The event, held on the 26th at the special stage in Gwangju University Enter Park, was attended by President Kim Dongjin, key university officials, executives of student autonomous organizations, enrolled students, and over 500 guests including representatives from the Gwangju-Jeonnam Student Council Association.

Student Council President Ahn Sunwoo declared at the inauguration, "All student autonomous organizations will unite as one to vigorously strive for the rights and development of our fellow students, as well as for the mutual growth of the university and the local community," adding, "We will work to create a 'happy campus,' a 'university students want to attend,' and a 'prestigious university leading the region.'"

President Kim Dongjin stated, "I hope you will confidently and energetically enjoy your youth, break away from conventional thinking, and lead innovation with new ideas to contribute to the development of the university and the local community," adding, "All faculty and staff at Gwangju University will be a strong support and eternal supporters for the growth and success of our students."
