On the 27th, iM Bank announced that it will provide a credit card payment deferral of up to six months for customers facing liquidity crises due to wildfire damage.
The support targets individual and sole proprietor card users (excluding corporations). The payment amounts for March or April of this year (scheduled) (one time within the period) for domestic use of lump-sum payments, installments, and short-term card loans (cash services) are eligible for the payment deferral.
To receive the credit card payment deferral, customers must submit a 'Damage Confirmation Certificate' issued by the local administrative office from the 26th until the 30th of next month to BC Card, and after a prescribed review by iM Bank, they will be notified of their eligibility within a maximum of five business days.
Choi Sang-su, Head of Marketing Group at iM Bank, stated, “We have implemented this credit card payment deferral as a proactive financial support measure to fulfill our social responsibility and inclusive finance for customers struggling due to natural disasters. We hope that the affected customers recover their daily lives as soon as possible.”
