Criticism of the Ruling via Social Media
"Clear Evidence of Tailoring to Fit Lee Jaemyung's Excuses"
Jang Dong-hyuk, a member of the People Power Party, criticized the second trial ruling on the Public Official Election Act involving Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, on the 27th, stating, "This ruling clearly shows efforts to dodge the public's perception at crucial points by cutting, crumpling, twisting, and arbitrarily piecing together the meaning of the statements to fit Lee Jae-myung's excuses."
On the same day, through social media (SNS), Representative Jang criticized the previous day's ruling on Lee's Public Official Election Act case, saying, "The stitching was done stitch by stitch exactly as Lee Jae-myung had sketched the blueprint."
As a former judge, he pointed out, "This ruling shows that the court arbitrarily stripped the statements of their context, fragmented them, crushed them, and transformed false facts into perceptions and opinions."

Representative Jang stated, "The purpose of the crime of false statement publication is to punish acts that cause confusion in voters' perceptions, leading to erroneous judgments about candidates and thereby undermining the fairness of elections," adding, "The key criteria are how the voters, the public, perceived the statements and whether the fairness of the election was compromised."
He argued, "At every important point, the ruling clearly shows efforts to dodge the public's perception by cutting, crumpling, twisting, and arbitrarily piecing together the meaning of the statements to fit Lee Jae-myung's excuses," and insisted, "If the fate of the Republic of Korea is not yet lost, this ruling must be corrected by the Supreme Court."
