The Yangsan Branch of the Ministry of Employment and Labor (Branch Manager Kwon Guhyung) held the 'Youth Future Jobs Connection Performance Sharing Meeting' at the Gimhae Employment Center on the 27th.
The event was attended by five organizations that are partners in the Youth Future Jobs Connection Project: Gyeongnam Foundation for the Arts and Culture, Gimhae Biomedical Industry Promotion Agency, Gimhae Social Economy Support Center, Busan Overseas Employment Center, and Inje University Regional Safety and Health Support Center. They shared the achievements of the past five months and discussed joint business plans for this year.

The 'Youth Future Jobs Connection' project is a youth job linkage program independently developed by the Yangsan Branch in October last year. It selects five job fields that are preferred by young people and in high industrial demand (content, biomedical, social venture, overseas employment, and safety and health), and provides mentoring by experts in each field, company visits, work experience, and supports young job seekers' entry into the job market.
The Yangsan Branch reported that the 'Youth Future Jobs Connection' project has produced remarkable results.
First, on October 31 last year, a youth employment special lecture in the field of overseas employment was held, featuring Branch Manager Kwon Guhyung's "Special Lecture on Employment through Global Experience," the Human Resources Corporation's "Introduction to Youth Overseas Employment Support System," and a mentor lecture by an overseas worker on "Global Mindset and Entrepreneurial Spirit."
The special lecture was also broadcast via ZOOM, allowing it to be conducted both online and offline, and about 140 young people, including those who had given up on job searching, participated together.
On November 25 last year, 25 socially withdrawn and isolated youths visited PeopleNStory, a webtoon and web novel production company, and Gonggamorae Contents, a game content development company.
This visit targeted socially withdrawn and isolated youths who face difficulties with employment and interpersonal relationships, allowing them to visit familiar game and webtoon production companies. By touring company sites and experiencing game and webtoon production firsthand, the program increased their motivation to seek employment and provided opportunities for career exploration.
Another major achievement is the production of youth career content in the field of safety and health. Reflecting the high interest of local youth in entering the safety and health sector, content is being produced with experts and company employees participating as mentors, covering job prospects, job preparation strategies, and mentoring by professionals in the field.
Youths who wish to pursue careers or employment in this field will be able to access the content anytime and anywhere, as it will be made available in April in an open campus format in cooperation with Youngsan University.
Kwon Guhyung, the branch manager, said, "To support young people who are currently resting, it is necessary to discover jobs that young people want and to provide various programs that keep them active," and added, "We will continue to discuss and collaborate with related organizations to promote various policies for the future of youth."
