Goyang Holds 2025 1st Quarter Integrated Defense Council
A Total of 29 Organizations Including 9th Division, 60th Division, and Goyang Police Station Participate
Goyang Special City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Dong-hwan) announced on the 27th that it held the ‘2025 1st Quarter Goyang Special City Integrated Defense Council’ at the Baekseok Annex of Goyang City Hall on the 26th to establish an integrated defense posture.

A total of 29 organizations participated in this Integrated Defense Council, including the 9th Division, 60th Division, 30th Armored Brigade, 301st Guard Regiment, Goyang Police Station, Ilsan East and West Police Stations, Goyang Fire Station, and Ilsan Fire Station.
The meeting, chaired by Mayor Lee Dong-hwan, chairman of the Goyang Special City Integrated Defense Council, proceeded in the order of reporting the 2025 reserve forces training and support subsidy promotion plan, the 9th Division’s recent security situation report, and response measures for lithium battery fires.
At the meeting, amid rapidly changing domestic and international security environments, measures to strengthen capabilities for effectively responding to various emergency situations were intensively discussed, and the necessity of close cooperation systems among agencies was emphasized.
Mayor Lee Dong-hwan of Goyang said, “Thorough preparedness is most important to protect national security and citizens’ safety,” and urged, “Let us strengthen cooperation among related agencies and develop practical response capabilities to create an environment where citizens can feel secure.”
Meanwhile, the Goyang Special City Integrated Defense Council, held quarterly, discusses measures for integrated defense preparedness, support for integrated defense operations and training, and efficient development, operation, and support plans for national defense elements.
