Inchang-dong, Guri-si, Breathes New Life with Spring Flower Planting

Guri City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Baek Kyung-hyun) Inchang-dong Administrative Welfare Center (Dongjang Kim Kyung-ae) announced on the 27th that they have planted spring flowers throughout the city to provide citizens with a refreshing and beautiful environment to welcome spring.

About 70 members, including five local organizations in Inchang-dong (Resident Autonomy Committee, Neighborhood Association, Saemaul Association, Committee for Right Living Movement, Red Cross Volunteer Society) and public officials participated in this spring flower planting event, working hard to beautify the village for spring,


Planting approximately 5,000 spring flowers such as pansies and violas in 12 small parks, revitalizing the village street environment so that residents can find mental and physical stability through interaction with the flowers.


Jeong Jeong-seon, head of the Inchang-dong Saemaul Women's Association, said, “Each spring flower has come together to create a beautiful work of art,” adding, “I hope the brightly blooming flowers bring great joy and healing opportunities to the residents.”


Kim Kyung-ae, Dongjang of Inchang-dong, said, “This spring flower planting not only beautifies the urban landscape but also plays an important role in providing residents with opportunities to get closer to nature and improve the environment,” adding, “We will continue to strive to enrich nature within the city.”
