Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, will implement the '2025 Support Project for Cultural and Artistic Activities of Artists with Disabilities,' which supports creative activities, cultural and arts education, and club activities for artists with disabilities.
The goal of this project is to expand opportunities for cultural enjoyment and contribute to social integration by promoting cultural and artistic activities for people with disabilities.
This project consists of three areas: ▲Support for creative activities of artists with disabilities ▲Support for cultural and arts club activities for people with disabilities ▲Operation of cultural and arts education programs for people with disabilities.
The creative activities support area targets artists with disabilities residing in Yangsan City as of the announcement date, who have obtained proof of artistic activity in accordance with the 'Artist Welfare Act.' It supports creative activities and presentations in various genres such as literature, visual arts, music, and dance. Two individuals will be selected, each receiving a fixed support amount of 3 million KRW.
The support area for cultural and arts clubs for people with disabilities targets organizations located in Yangsan City, where the representative is a person with a disability and the club has at least five members with disabilities. Organizations with a record of cultural and artistic activities within the past three years will receive 3 million KRW to support expenses necessary for regular cultural and artistic activities.
The support area for cultural and arts education for people with disabilities targets non-profit (disability) cultural and arts organizations located in Yangsan City that have carried out at least one cultural and arts project for people with disabilities as of the announcement date. It supports the operation of cultural and arts education programs and the holding of small-scale presentations for people with disabilities, with one selected organization receiving 6 million KRW.
Applications can be submitted online only, through the Botam-e Local Subsidy Management System website, for 15 days from March 25 to April 9.
The final recipients will be selected based on document review and deliberation by the Local Subsidy Management Committee, considering the achievements and plans for cultural and artistic activities.
An official from Yangsan City said, "We hope that this support project will revitalize the creative activities of artists with disabilities, expand opportunities for artistic expression for people with disabilities, and serve as an opportunity to strengthen the foundation for cultural and artistic activities for people with disabilities in the region.
