Busan Transportation Corporation (President Lee Byungjin) announced on the 27th that it will conduct a preference survey on the new subway train design for Busan Metro Line 2 from March 31 to April 4.

This survey is part of the 'Line 2 Old Train Replacement Project' and aims to reflect citizens' opinions on the design of the new trains, which will be introduced sequentially starting in 2027.

The survey will be conducted both online and offline, and any citizen interested in the Busan Metro can participate. The online survey can be accessed through the Busan Transportation Corporation website, while the offline survey will be held at major stations on Line 2 for 2 to 3 days during the survey period.

To participate, select one preferred design each from three options for both the interior and exterior of the train and cast your vote. Detailed information is available on the Busan Transportation Corporation website.

The newly unveiled train designs maintain continuity with the existing vehicles while emphasizing an innovative and futuristic image under the 'Future in Motion' concept, reflecting global trends. Elements to enhance passenger convenience, such as changes to seat materials, the addition of glass partitions, and the installation of safety bars on passage doors, have also been incorporated.

Based on the results of this preference survey, the corporation plans to finalize the design through management strategy meetings and proceed with vehicle design.

Lee Byungjin, President of Busan Transportation Corporation, stated, "We will do our best to ensure that the new trains are not only well-designed but also safe and convenient," and added, "We ask for your active interest and participation so that your valuable opinions can be reflected."
