The Gochang Bokbunja and Watermelon Festival Committee (Chairperson Lee Mijeong) has confirmed that the 22nd Gochang Bokbunja and Watermelon Festival will be held at Seonunsan Provincial Park from June 20 to 22.

According to the festival committee on the 27th, the Gochang Bokbunja and Watermelon Festival, the county's representative summer festival, attracted about 170,000 visitors last year and generated an economic impact of approximately 5.1 billion KRW, not only through the sale of agricultural products but also by adding events such as eel catching and eel sales.

This year as well, there will be a special market where visitors can purchase Bokbunja, watermelon, and other local specialties at prices lower than the market rate, along with various programs utilizing local products such as watermelon, Bokbunja, and eel.

Lee Mijeong, chairperson of the festival committee, said, "Now in its 22nd year, the Gochang Bokbunja and Watermelon Festival continues to grow and has established itself as the representative festival for agricultural specialties in Gochang-gun. We will do our best to make the festival a success and promote the excellence of Gochang Bokbunja and watermelon nationwide."
