Hope Bridge Urgently Supplies Relief Goods to Andong Under 'Citywide Evacuation Order' Relief supplies installed at Andong Gymnasium. Provided by Hope Bridge

The Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (President Song Pil-ho) announced on the 27th that it has urgently provided a total of over 51,000 daily necessities to disaster victims in Andong City, Gyeongbuk, as the wildfire that started in Uiseong County, Gyeongbuk, spread to the "smoke-filled" Andong area.


The support items include ▲ 1,394 corporate relief kits totaling 29,274 items ▲ 400 emergency relief kits totaling 7,400 items ▲ 140 relief tents ▲ 140 floor mats ▲ 960 blankets ▲ 13,440 bottles of drinking water, totaling 51,354 items. Additional support will be provided if necessary after consultation with local governments. The relief tents provided have been installed at temporary shelters for disaster victims such as the Andong Gymnasium.


Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, said, "We decided to provide emergency support to alleviate the difficulties of the disaster victims who suddenly had to stay at shelters due to the wildfire spread," adding, "Hope Bridge will continuously assess the needs on site and provide all necessary support without omission."


Hope Bridge is currently providing emergency relief supplies to wildfire-affected areas in Uiseong County, Gyeongbuk, Sancheong County, Gyeongnam, and Andong City, Gyeongbuk, and is operating relief vehicles such as laundry relief trucks and mental recovery buses at temporary shelters on site. Additional support is also being considered in consultation with local governments if necessary.
