GS25 Opens 'Specialized Store' at Hanwha Eagles' New Stadium… Second Location After Daejeon

GS Retail's convenience store GS25 announced on the 27th that it will open its second flagship store with the professional baseball team Hanwha Eagles, 'GS25 Hanwha Life Ballpark Branch,' on the 28th.

This specialized store is located next to Ticket Booth 3 of Hanwha Eagles' new stadium, 'Daejeon Hanwha Life Ballpark.' GS25 aims to become a new landmark in Daejeon based on its advantageous location.

The new store was designed with motifs inspired by the Hanwha Eagles' symbols and key elements of the baseball stadium. It covers approximately 38 pyeong (125㎡) and uses the Hanwha Eagles' orange as the accent color. The store exterior features graphics visualizing the Hanwha Eagles' mascot 'Suri' and the team's unique 'Fire Baseball' spirit.

Upon entering the store, customers encounter a space reminiscent of the Hanwha Eagles players' locker room. This area serves as a dedicated Hanwha Eagles corner where over 60 popular goods can be purchased, including uniforms, tarpaulin bags, bats, gloves, as well as exclusive items like Yours Hanwha Ujjjujju Bar and Hanwha Eagles sun caps.

GS25 plans to strengthen its sports and baseball marketing centered around these specialized stores. By creating a new concept space that combines sports and convenience stores, it aims to maximize the advantages of offline stores and increase customer attraction. In fact, the sales of the two baseball-specialized stores GS25 opened last year increased by 20% each compared to the same month before the 2025 KBO preseason games.

With this, GS25 now operates four sports-specialized convenience stores. Since last year, GS25 has been running sports-specialized stores in the home regions of professional baseball teams Hanwha Eagles, LG Twins, and professional soccer team Ulsan Hyundai, located in Dunsan-dong, Daejeon; Jamsil, Seoul; and Daldong, Ulsan, respectively.
