Sangsangin Group (CEO Yujunwon) announced that it will launch the "Walking Project Season 9" campaign from the 30th to realize eco-friendly values and promote the health of its employees. This season will go a step further from individual participation in previous seasons by adopting a team-based goal achievement challenge format, which is expected to contribute to improving organizational culture.

Running for eight weeks until May 24, Sangsangin Group's "Walking Project," which started in 2021, aims to practice ESG (Environment, Social, Governance) in daily life by reducing carbon emissions and promoting employee health. Marking its fifth year, the project encourages walking in everyday life under the slogan "Protect the health of my body and the Earth together," including using stairs for nearby floors within buildings, walking to and from work for short distances, and using public transportation for longer distances.

"Walking Project Season 9" involves affiliates such as Sangsangin, Sangsangin Savings Bank, Sangsangin Plus Savings Bank, and Sangsangin Ship Machinery, as well as Synergy Innovation, MITECH, Medica Korea, Protox, and Neurobiogen. Approximately 1,500 employees and their families are expected to participate. In the previous Seasons 7 and 8, around 2,000 employees and their families from Sangsangin Group participated, contributing to fostering a healthy environmental protection culture.

The core of this "Walking Project Season 9" is for each team to achieve an average of more than 10,000 steps. Each team will tally their average steps weekly to check whether the goal has been met. This is expected to naturally foster cooperation and communication among team members.

Additionally, the maximum recognized daily steps are capped at 18,000 to discourage excessive competition and encourage healthy participation among employees. This is evaluated as creating an environment where employees can continuously engage in health promotion activities while respecting work-life balance.

Sangsangin Group's Walking Project contributes not only to employee health promotion but also to environmental protection. The cumulative results up to Season 8 show that the project has reduced approximately 1,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions, equivalent to planting about 130,000 pine trees, demonstrating significant environmental improvement. Sangsangin Group plans to continue realizing eco-friendly values in Season 9. With team-based goal achievements, more employees are expected to participate, which is anticipated to lead to even greater environmental benefits.

On April 26, Sangsangin Group will hold a "Picnic Day" at Hanam Misa Rowing Park to encourage offline participation in the walking campaign. This event will bring together employees from affiliates to communicate and unite, and the "Sangsang Wheel Harmony Orchestra," supported by Sangsangin Group, will perform a high-quality ensemble on stage.

Founded last year as the world's first, the "Sangsang Wheel Harmony Orchestra" consists of 24 members who have received professional music education through Sangsangin Group's "Academy Sangsangin Music Education." The "Academy Sangsangin Music Education" is a mentoring program where Sangsangin Group discovers and educates talents in arts and physical education fields for children and adolescents who use wheelchairs.

Yujunwon, CEO of Sangsangin Group, said, "The Walking Project is meaningful in that it protects the health of Sangsangin Group employees, safeguards the Earth's environment, and simultaneously improves organizational culture." He added, "We will continue to create new opportunities for our members to grow and develop together."
