Kim Chan-jin, Dong-gu Mayor, Tops Incheon Local Government Heads
with 5.48 Billion KRW in Assets

Incheon Mayor Yoo Jung-bok reported assets worth 1.69 billion KRW, ranking 13th among 17 metropolitan leaders.

According to the 2025 regular asset change report for public officials released by the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee on the 27th, Mayor Yoo declared total assets of 1.69 billion KRW, including land, buildings, stocks, and deposits owned by himself, his spouse, and children, an increase of 130 million KRW compared to last year.

Deputy Mayor Ha Byung-pil reported 8.21 billion KRW, Global City Administrative Deputy Mayor Hwang Hyo-jin reported 200 million KRW, Incheon City Council Chairman Jeong Hae-gwon reported 780 million KRW, and Incheon Superintendent of Education Do Seong-hoon reported 370 million KRW.

Among the heads of basic local governments in Incheon, Dong-gu Mayor Kim Chan-jin reported the highest assets at 5.48 billion KRW.

Following him were Gyeyang-gu Mayor Yoon Hwan with 5.4 billion KRW, Michuhol-gu Mayor Lee Young-hoon with 1.75 billion KRW, Yeonsu-gu Mayor Lee Jae-ho with 1.68 billion KRW, Seo-gu Mayor Kang Beom-seok with 1.22 billion KRW, Jung-gu Mayor Kim Jeong-heon with 1.16 billion KRW, Ongjin County Mayor Moon Kyung-bok with 950 million KRW, Namdong-gu Mayor Park Jong-hyo with 900 million KRW, Bupyeong-gu Mayor Cha Jun-taek with 870 million KRW, and Ganghwa County Mayor Park Yong-cheol with 380 million KRW.

Meanwhile, Incheon City disclosed the asset details and changes of a total of 129 individuals, including 121 local district council members and 8 heads of public-related organizations under the city, through the city bulletin, separate from the Government Public Officials Ethics Committee’s asset disclosure.

The average assets of these individuals were 790 million KRW, a decrease of 60 million KRW from last year. Among them, 84 people (65.1%) saw an increase in assets, while 45 people (34.9%) experienced a decrease.

The Incheon Public Officials Ethics Committee plans to thoroughly review asset registration, including virtual assets, by the end of June. If any public official is found to have made false declarations or formed assets through illegal means, measures such as warnings, fines, dismissal, or disciplinary requests will be taken.
