The Nation's Largest Sports Industry Expo '2025 Spoex' Opens on the 27th

From the 27th to the 30th at COEX, Gangnam-gu, Seoul

'2025 Seoul International Sports Leisure Industry Expo (2025 SPOEX)', the largest sports industry exhibition in Korea, will be held from the 27th to the 30th at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul. 2025 SPOEX is sponsored by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and hosted by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation in commemoration of the Seoul Olympics and the Korea International Trade Association.


SPOEX has been the largest sports industry exhibition in Korea for 25 years since 2001. This year, 319 domestic and international sports companies will operate a total of 1,720 booths. Compared to last year, the number of participating companies increased by 20, and the number of booths increased by 100.


The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that a new 'K-Professional Sports Special Pavilion', focusing on Korea's representative professional sports such as baseball and soccer, will be set up to showcase various events including training sessions and lectures by current and former professional athletes. A 'Sports Tech Special Planning Pavilion' combining sports and cutting-edge technology will also be created, where 14 promising domestic sports companies that have participated in and won awards at the 2025 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will present the latest sports technologies and innovative products.

In addition, to support the overseas market entry of domestic sports companies, 30 overseas purchasing companies will be invited to hold export consultation meetings with over 120 domestic sports companies, and dedicated interpreters will be assigned to each company to facilitate smooth business cooperation. To promote investment in the sports industry sector, 15 investment companies will be invited to operate investment matching consultations with domestic sports companies.


Industry-academia-research collaboration programs will also be further strengthened. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that a sports industry job fair with 40 participating companies and organizations will be held to support employment in the sports field and expand opportunities to connect companies with young talents. Various seminars targeting sports managers, coaches, and university students will also be conducted, along with diverse side events such as a 'Pickleball Experience Zone', bodybuilding competitions, and a 'Fitness Festival'.

Jang Mi-ran, the 2nd Vice Minister of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, will attend the opening ceremony on the first day, tour the exhibition halls, and encourage company representatives. Vice Minister Jang said, "Through '2025 SPOEX', the largest sports industry exhibition in Korea, we expect our sports companies to actively enter the global market and for their excellent technologies and innovative products to be widely recognized." She added, "The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will continue to expand policies to support exports and strengthen global competitiveness in the sports industry."
