Samsung Group announced on the 26th that it will donate 3 billion KRW to comfort residents of the Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam regions who have been suffering from large-scale wildfires and to assist in recovery efforts.

Samsung also plans to provide 1,000 disaster relief kits consisting of daily necessities and 600 residential tents for evacuees living in temporary shelters.
Samsung has actively participated in social efforts to overcome crises whenever large-scale natural disasters occur domestically and internationally. In 2023, it donated 3 billion KRW through the Korean Red Cross for wildfires in Chungnam, Gyeongbuk, and Jeonnam regions, as well as during the wildfire outbreak in Gangwon Province. Earlier in 2022, it also engaged in relief activities during the Uljin and Gangwon wildfires and the heavy rains in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Gangwon. Samsung donated 3 billion KRW, provided emergency relief kits, and offered free inspections for flood-damaged home appliances.
Relief efforts have also extended overseas. Earlier this year, when a large wildfire occurred in Los Angeles (LA), USA, Samsung donated electronic products worth approximately 1 million USD, including home appliances, tablets, and PCs. In 2023, when a major earthquake struck T?rkiye, Samsung provided emergency support totaling 3 million USD, including relief funds and supplies for disaster recovery.
