On the 26th, the Legislation and Judiciary Committee held a plenary meeting and approved the resolution. Lawmakers from the People Power Party boycotted the vote in protest against the resolution.

In the resolution, the National Assembly stated, "Despite the impeachment grounds and their seriousness becoming clear through witness testimonies and evidence during the impeachment trial process, the Constitutional Court has not set a date for the impeachment trial verdict without clear reasons or explanations," emphasizing that "the only way to end the extreme economic chaos and public anxiety caused by the December 3rd insurrection and to restore the lives of the people to normal is a swift impeachment trial verdict."

The opposition party plans to request the Speaker of the National Assembly to convene a full committee meeting to handle the resolution after the Legislation and Judiciary Committee adjourns. The full committee consists of all 300 members of the National Assembly. According to Article 63 of the National Assembly Act, the committee can be convened if more than one-quarter of the members request it before or after a major bill is submitted to the plenary session.
