New Power Plasma is showing strong performance. This is believed to be influenced by news that its subsidiary is supplying fuselage prototypes to a drone company that holds an 80% share of the US military's small unmanned aerial vehicles.
As of 1:14 PM on the 26th, New Power Plasma is trading at 5,020 KRW, up 4.37% from the previous day.
According to industry sources, New Power Plasma's subsidiary SpacePro (formerly Korea Fiber) has reportedly supplied prototypes to AeroVironment, a drone company selected by the US Department of Defense Innovation Unit.
AeroVironment holds more than 80% of the US military's small unmanned aerial vehicle market. If New Power Plasma's subsidiary begins official supply within this year, the defense-related business, which is the core of the plasma business, is expected to grow, potentially achieving record-high performance.
AeroVironment, which signed an MOU with SpacePro, is a US defense contractor that designs and manufactures military unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). It produces tactical unit-level reconnaissance drones such as Raven and Puma, brigade-level drones like Jump 20, as well as loitering munitions like Switchblade.
