180,000 Promotional Label Bottles to Be Distributed
Gapyeong-gun, Gyeonggi Province (Governor Seo Tae-won) announced on the 26th that it will distribute 180,000 bottles of ‘Gapyeong Jat Saeng Makgeolli’ with promotional labels for the 2025 Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival in collaboration with Woorisul Co., Ltd. starting this month.

On the 25th, the county held a promotional auxiliary label handover ceremony with Woorisul Co., Ltd. to wish for the successful hosting of the ‘15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival’ and the ‘71st Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival.’ The event was attended by Governor Seo Tae-won, Vice Governor Kim Mi-sung, Shin Yoon-sung, Head of the Provincial Comprehensive Sports Festival Promotion Team, Park Sung-gi, CEO of Woorisul Co., Ltd., and Park Young-gil, Marketing Team Leader.
Governor Seo Tae-won said, “We are grateful that Woorisul Co., Ltd., a leading local traditional liquor company, is actively participating in promoting the event,” adding, “We expect that promoting the festival through Makgeolli will have a great effect nationwide.” He emphasized, “We will do our best to create a successful event that the Gyeonggi-do athletes and Gapyeong residents can enjoy together.”
The ‘15th Gyeonggi-do Disabled Sports Festival’ will be held throughout Gapyeong-gun from April 24 to 26. The opening ceremony will take place at 3 p.m. on the 24th at Jaraseom Jungdo in Gapyeong. The ‘71st Gyeonggi-do Sports Festival’ will be held from May 15 to 17, with the opening ceremony at 4 p.m. on the 15th at the same location.
Meanwhile, Woorisul Co., Ltd. has been supporting the development of local talent by donating 30 won per bottle of ‘Gapyeong Jat Saeng Makgeolli’ to a scholarship fund since 2017 through an agreement with Gapyeong-gun.
