LG Donates 2 Billion KRW for Wildfire Damage Recovery... Affiliates Also Participate

Funds to Be Used for Restoration of Affected Areas and Support for Disaster Victims

LG recently announced on the 26th that it has donated 2 billion KRW to the Community Chest of Korea to help residents in areas severely affected by simultaneous wildfires in Gyeongsang Province. The donated funds will be used for the restoration of the wildfire-affected areas and support for disaster victims.

An LG representative stated, "We hope to contribute, even if only a little, to the prompt restoration of the affected areas so that residents who have lost their homes and are facing difficulties due to this sudden disaster can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."

LG affiliates are also stepping up to assist wildfire victims. LG Electronics is providing home appliances such as air purifiers for use in temporary shelters and operating a mobile service center to repair damaged appliances free of charge. LG Household & Health Care plans to support disaster victims with essential daily items worth 500 million KRW, including toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash.

LG Uplus is operating battery charging vehicles and providing temporary Wi-Fi services to support relief activities in the areas of Sancheong and Hadong counties in Gyeongnam, and Uiseong county in Gyeongbuk. Additionally, they are supplying children’s kits consisting of coloring books and toys to support childcare at the disaster sites, and in cooperation with Animal Freedom Union, they are conducting activities to rescue pets of the disaster victims.
