The international relief and development NGO Good People (Chairman Kim Cheon-su) announced on the 26th that it will provide goods worth approximately 50 million KRW, including school supplies and food, to children in rural areas in collaboration with NH Investment & Securities (CEO Yoon Byung-woon).
The donation ceremony held on the 25th at the NH Investment & Securities headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul, was attended by Good People’s Executive Director Koo Young-mo and NH Investment & Securities Manager Choi Hong-seok, among others.
Good People and NH Investment & Securities will support about 300 children in rural areas through eight partner organizations in Gyeongsangnam-do, providing school supply sets, healthy teas, nuts, and other goods worth approximately 50 million KRW.
Notably, the two organizations utilized products made by ‘Bravo Beaver,’ a certified workplace for people with disabilities, in this sharing project to promote employment for individuals with developmental disabilities.
At the end of last year, NH Investment & Securities also practiced ESG management by supporting vulnerable groups nationwide with rice, school supplies, and groceries through Good People.
Manager Choi Hong-seok of NH Investment & Securities said, “I feel even more rewarded as a member of the NongHyup group to deliver goods to children in rural areas together with Good People,” adding, “NH Investment & Securities will continue to pay greater attention to the socially disadvantaged, especially rural issues.”
Executive Director Koo Young-mo of Good People stated, “I am pleased to be able to convey the value of sharing to the local community as a social contribution partner with NH Investment & Securities,” and added, “Good People will do its best to ensure that children in rural areas grow up without any deficiencies.”
