Jingwi Kim and Janghoon Shin Appointed as Vice Presidents
Samjong KPMG announced on the 26th that it will transition to a specialized representative system by sector for the efficient operation of its consulting division.
On the same day, Samjong KPMG held a management committee meeting and appointed Vice Presidents Jin-Gwi Kim and Jang-Hoon Shin as the new heads of the consulting division. Vice President Jin-Gwi Kim will be responsible for digital, risk consulting, strategy, and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) consulting services, while Vice President Jang-Hoon Shin will oversee operation consulting including PI (Process Innovation), system implementation, and technology consulting, aiming to provide differentiated services. These appointments will officially take effect on April 1.

Vice President Kim graduated from Sungkyunkwan University with a degree in Business Administration and completed a master's course in Financial Management at the same university's graduate school. Since joining KPMG in 2002, he has provided accounting audits, IFRS, risk and interest rate systems, and ESG information disclosure system consulting to various financial institutions such as banks and insurance companies. Notably, he established his position as a financial expert by advising on the first adoption of IFRS in Korea. He also gained international experience while working at KPMG's Netherlands office and currently co-leads the ESG Center of Excellence (CoE).
Vice President Shin graduated from Chung-Ang University with a degree in Business Administration and joined KPMG in 1993. He has built expertise in the distribution and consumer goods industries by conducting accounting audits and consulting for various companies in these sectors. Since 2024, he has also led the Value-Up Support Center, supporting the enhancement of corporate value for listed companies as a consulting advisor for mid-sized and small enterprises at the Korea Exchange. In recognition of his contributions, he received the Financial Supervisory Service Commissioner’s Award in 2014 and the Ministry of Economy and Finance Minister’s Award in 2021.
Through this reorganization of the consulting division, Samjong KPMG plans to strengthen sector-specific expertise and provide optimal solutions to clients in a rapidly changing business environment.
Additionally, new heads have been appointed in the audit division. Park Kwan-Jong was appointed as the head of CM1 (Consumer Markets), responsible for the distribution and consumer goods industry; Vice President Min-Kyu Kim was appointed as the head of B&F3 (Banking & Finance), responsible for the financial industry; Executive Director In-Hye Kang was appointed as the head of ICE3 (Information, Communication & Entertainment), covering the electronics, information, communication, and media industries; and Executive Director Sung-Bae Kim was appointed as the head of IM4 (Industrial Markets), responsible for the manufacturing industry.
