Hampyeong County in Jeonnam announced on the 26th that it held a traffic safety campaign to prevent child traffic accidents in celebration of the new school semester.

The children's traffic safety campaign, held in front of Hampyeong Elementary School, was conducted in cooperation with Hampyeong Police Station, Hampyeong Fire Station, and Hampyeong Elementary School. The campaign was organized to create a safe commuting environment for children, prevent traffic accidents, and raise awareness of traffic safety.

Participants wore sashes with the slogan "Children First" and provided easy-to-understand guidance to children on their way to school about safe walking habits and precautions when using crosswalks.

In addition, educational materials, traffic accident prevention umbrellas, and pamphlets were distributed to help children easily understand traffic regulations and practice them in everyday life.

Lee Sangik, the governor of Hampyeong County, stated, "I hope that through this campaign, our children can prevent traffic accidents and grow up in a safer environment," and added, "We will continue to strengthen traffic accident prevention education for children through various traffic safety campaigns in the future."
