In 2020, Korea Toyota signed an industry-academia cooperation education program (T-TEP) agreement with Ajou Automobile University, which operates the nation's first motorsports major. Through this partnership, they have been striving to cultivate automotive professionals.
They also plan to support students by providing opportunities to participate in study programs in Japan to broaden their insights into the global automotive industry. For graduating students, they offer internship programs linked with Toyota and Lexus dealerships, providing practical career opportunities to grow as service advisors and maintenance experts.
For current students, the 'Toyota·Lexus Experience Day' was held, where participants could directly drive vehicles such as the Lexus LC and Toyota 86, experiencing the joy of driving and the brand's technological prowess through a driving program.
Lee Byung-jin, Vice President of Korea Toyota Motor Corporation, stated, "Toyota pursues 'making better cars' through various electrified models to achieve carbon neutrality and through motorsports. We will actively support Ajou Automobile University students, who have passion and talent for automobiles, to grow into future leaders in motorsports and the automotive industry."
