Earlier, the YouTube channel 'Garosero Research Institute' (Gaseyeon) reported, citing the late Kim Sae-ron's family, that she had dated Kim Soo-hyun for six years since she was a minor. In response, Kim Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist stated, "He dated the late Kim Sae-ron from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020, after she became an adult," denying the allegations of dating while she was a minor. Subsequently, through the legal representative law firm LKBN Partners, they announced, "We have filed a complaint against the late Kim Sae-ron's family, who provided Kim Soo-hyun's private photos to Gaseyeon, and the operator Kim Se-ui, who posted them on the YouTube broadcast, for violating the Act on Special Cases Concerning the Punishment, etc. of Sexual Crimes (distribution of photos taken by camera, etc.)." They pointed out, "The photos released were taken while Kim Soo-hyun and the late Kim Sae-ron, who was an adult, were dating. These photos include images of the body that could cause sexual shame to Kim Soo-hyun, and they should not have been made public nor is there any reason for them to be disclosed."

On the 21st, Disney Plus announced, "After careful consideration, we have decided to postpone the release plan of Kim Soo-hyun's next drama 'Knock Off'." Originally, 'Knock Off' was scheduled to hold a production presentation next month and release season 1, but the schedule is reportedly being delayed due to the controversy surrounding Kim Soo-hyun.
