December & Company, which operates 'fint,' announced on the 25th that it has launched an ISA advisory service for investors seeking both investment returns and tax benefits simultaneously.
Amid increasing volatility in the financial markets and growing importance of diversification, the Individual Savings Account (ISA), which allows managing various products within a single account while enjoying tax benefits, is gaining attention. The brokerage-type ISA, where investors can directly select and manage financial products, is especially popular.
The brokerage-type ISA offers a tax exemption benefit of up to 4 million KRW (2 million KRW for the general type, 4 million KRW for the low-income and farming/fishing types) if maintained for a mandatory holding period of over three years. For amounts exceeding this, a separate tax rate of 9.9% applies, making it a representative tax-saving account. Taxation is applied only on net profits through loss offsetting, and when maturity funds are transferred to a pension account, an additional tax credit of 10% of the deposit amount (up to 3 million KRW) is granted.
Fint has launched an advisory service to help brokerage-type ISA subscribers with limited investment experience easily achieve both 'tax savings' and 'investment returns.' The service is available through existing and new ISA accounts within the Fint app, and users can also transfer ISA accounts from other providers. Fint’s AI investment strategy engine, ISAAC, comprehensively analyzes an individual’s investment preferences, asset management style, and retirement timing to propose customized investment strategies. It assists effective asset formation by rebalancing asset classes and stocks according to market changes.
Fint’s ISA investment advisory strategies consist of five types: Global Balance, which builds a balanced portfolio by diversifying across global stocks and bonds; Global Macro Active, which adjusts the ratio of risky and safe assets according to market volatility; and Global Macro Hedge, which increases investments in high-yield assets during uptrends and raises the proportion of inverse ETFs during downturns. The Global Macro Hedge strategy is expected to attract investors aiming for high returns regardless of market trends through inverse ETF investments.
Service users can conveniently place orders through one-stop trading without selecting individual stocks or quantities. Stocks included in the recommended portfolio can also be changed to those preferred by the individual.
Fint will provide systematic management support, including contribution management to maximize tax credit benefits and information on benefits related to earnings. Song Inseong, CEO of December & Company, said, "We launched the Fint ISA advisory service to help brokerage-type ISA customers, who face difficulties in selecting and managing various financial products, conveniently enjoy tax benefits and investment returns."
