Fire Authorities Issue First Level 3 Response of the Year

On the 25th, the National Fire Agency announced that it would raise the fire emergency response level from level 2 to level 3 due to the continuous spread of the wildfire that occurred on the 22nd in Uiseong-gun, Gyeongbuk.

The fire emergency response levels are divided into levels 1, 2, and 3. Among these, level 3 mobilizes all available firefighting personnel and equipment nationwide and is issued when large-scale disaster damage is expected.
This is the first time this year that the fire authorities have issued a level 3 response for disasters such as wildfires.
The authorities are making every effort to protect facilities such as private homes and temples, prioritizing evacuation guidance for residents and rescue and protection of human lives. Safety management for firefighters working on site will also be strengthened.
