Regarding the '12-hour marathon talks' between the United States and Russia held the previous day in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he said, "The dialogue was detailed and complex but quite useful for both us and the United States," adding, "We discussed many issues."

It is known that Russia and the United States discussed a partial ceasefire in Ukraine and the resumption of the Black Sea grain agreement the day before. A joint statement on the results of the talks is scheduled to be released by the Kremlin and the White House on the same day.

RIA Novosti reported that Chairman Karasin said, "It was a very interesting, difficult, and quite constructive dialogue," and "We sat all day from morning until late at night." He added that although their positions on the Ukraine issue do not always align, there is a consensus that active interaction is necessary, saying, "An opportunity for that has arisen."

Regarding the possibility of continued expert-level talks between the two countries, he emphasized, "There is quite a possibility," and added, "It is far from resolving everything and reaching agreement on all aspects, but this form of discussion seems very timely."
