Responding to the Climate Crisis
and Achieving Carbon Neutrality
Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 25th that it held a large-scale "Traffic Safety and Low-Carbon Practice Promotion Campaign" at the intersection in front of City Hall, aiming to respond to the climate crisis and achieve carbon neutrality.

Hosted by the Saemaeul Traffic Volunteer Corps Yangju Branch (Branch Chief Eo Bu-yong), the event was actively supported by officials including Mayor Kang Su-hyun, the Yangju Saemaeul Association, Yangju Comprehensive Welfare Center for the Disabled, Yangju Didimdol Independence Center, and the Korea Transportation Disabled Association Yangju Branch.
With the goal of a "Low-Carbon Eco-Friendly Traffic Culture," participants held banners with the slogan "Carbon Neutral Green Growth for Climate Crisis Response," emphasizing the importance of practicing carbon neutrality to citizens.
Additionally, the campaign provided guidance on proper intersection crossing methods and promoted traffic habits to prevent traffic accidents, encouraging citizens to adopt transportation behaviors that reduce carbon emissions in daily life.
Branch Chief Eo Bu-yong stated, "Traffic safety and responding to the climate crisis are important issues that we all must solve together," adding, "We will continue to make steady efforts to create a sustainable traffic environment."
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju said, "This activity with citizens will be an important milestone for Yangju's response to the climate crisis and the spread of a safe traffic culture," and added, "Yangju City will continue to do its best to realize carbon neutrality and create a safe traffic environment for its citizens."
