This agreement was established to strengthen community health care services through cooperation between Bobath Hospital, which has expertise in rehabilitation treatment for the disabled and dementia prevention and management, and Hanam-si Public Health Center.

Through the community-based rehabilitation project agreement, the two organizations will support the community adaptation of prospective disabled persons preparing for discharge and expand rehabilitation services to improve the health of disabled individuals. Through this, they plan to build a customized support system for a healthy life for the disabled and strengthen the rehabilitation treatment environment within the community.

Specifically, Hanam-si Public Health Center will provide a community early adaptation program for prospective disabled persons preparing for discharge within Bobath Hospital and offer walking aid device rental services to help disabled individuals smoothly return to daily life.

Bobath Hospital will conduct education on sarcopenia prevention for disabled persons and guide and connect those in need of rehabilitation to the community-based rehabilitation project, cooperating to ensure more disabled individuals receive appropriate services.

Additionally, through the early dementia screening project agreement, the two organizations have laid the groundwork to strengthen early detection and prevention of dementia and systematically link treatment and care to support citizens’ healthy aging.

Specifically, Bobath Hospital will perform dementia differential tests in cooperation with the Hanam-si Dementia Safety Center, while the Public Health Center will provide the necessary administrative and financial support. In particular, for citizens diagnosed as ‘suspected dementia’ in dementia diagnostic tests, differential tests will be conducted, and the Public Health Center will support the testing costs to help more citizens receive early diagnosis without economic burden.

Along with this, they will jointly promote dementia awareness improvement and prevention education, and when necessary, Bobath Hospital will dispatch cooperative doctors to the Dementia Safety Center to help dementia patients and their families receive more specialized medical services.

Yoon Yeon-jung, Director of Hanam Bobath Hospital of Lotte Medical Foundation, said, “This agreement will be an important opportunity for Bobath Hospital and Hanam-si to join forces and provide practical help to local residents,” adding, “We will continue to provide the best medical services through ongoing cooperation.”

Park Kang-yong, Director of Hanam-si Public Health Center, stated, “Through the agreement with Bobath Hospital, we expect to provide more professional and systematic health care services in the fields of rehabilitation for the disabled and dementia prevention,” and added, “We will actively promote community-tailored health projects to contribute to the improvement of citizens’ health.”
