Hampyeong County: "Purchase Korean Seafood and Receive a Refund"

Hampyeong County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 25th that it will hold a promotional event offering Onnuri gift certificate refunds to residents who purchase domestic seafood in celebration of Fisheries Day.

The "Fisheries Day Domestic Seafood Onnuri Gift Certificate Refund Event," jointly organized by the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries, Jeollanam-do, and the Korea Fisheries Association, will be held at Hampyeongcheonji Traditional Market from the 27th to the 31st.

The refund amount is limited to domestic seafood purchases: residents can receive a 10,000 won refund for purchases over 34,000 won, and a 20,000 won refund for purchases over 67,000 won. However, the event may end early if the budget is exhausted.

To receive the refund, customers must purchase domestic seafood at participating stores within Hampyeongcheonji Traditional Market, then present their receipt and ID at the designated exchange booth in the market to receive the refund in Onnuri gift certificates. The exchange booth will operate from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Seo Seongdo, president of the Hampyeongcheonji Traditional Market Merchants Association, said, "I hope this domestic seafood refund event will help ease the financial burden on customers during these difficult times of high prices."

Lee Sangik, county governor, stated, "I hope this event will greatly help the local economy, which has been weakened by the economic downturn," and asked for active participation from residents.
