Refrain from Going Outside as Much as Possible
Advised to Wear a Mask When Outdoors
The Ulsan Institute of Health and Environment issued the first fine dust (PM-10) advisory of the year for the Ulsan area at 12:00 p.m. on March 25.
The fine dust (PM-10) advisory is issued when the hourly average concentration reaches 150 ㎍/㎥ or higher for two consecutive hours, and is lifted when it falls below 100 ㎍/㎥.
At the time of issuance, at 12:00 p.m., the overall hourly average concentration of fine dust (PM-10) in Ulsan was recorded at 166 ㎍/㎥.
This fine dust advisory was issued due to the recent influx of yellow dust and foreign fine dust.
Although the impact of this yellow dust may vary by region, it is forecasted to potentially affect the area until the 26th.
An official from Ulsan City stated, "When a fine dust (PM-10) advisory is issued, it is recommended to refrain from going outside as much as possible. If you must go out, be sure to wear a mask, and those with respiratory diseases, the elderly, and children should avoid going outside."
